Health, Water and Hygiene

EDAS continues primary health facilities to the poor and pro-poor children, women and people who have no or few access to health care facility. EDAS provides mother and child health care, sanitation and hygiene facilities in and around 88 EDAS Schools. EDAS ensures sanitation (latrine/toilet/wash room) and safe drinking water facilities in the families of EDAS schools’ children. 03 (three) service delivery centers, supported by CZM are operating health project initiatives including medicine among 1500 women and their household members in 3 specific areas 1. Faridpur (Dayarampur-machar under Sadar Upazila) 2. Magura (Nakol under Sreepur Upazila) 3. Jessore (Rudrapur-Rupdia under Sadar Upazila). EDAS in collaboration with AMAL Foundation has set up a diagnostic/pathology lab for pathological test, ECG, and Ultrasonography including doctors’ consultancy named Daktar Bari (doctors’ Home) to provide medical facilities to the poor people with an affordable cost in Jashore district. EDAS responses emergency need of providing toilet, bathroom, safe drinking water, medical care, patients’ ambulance facilities to 5000 Rohingya refugees in Ukhia Rohingya Camp.
